Formatting Examples from a Sample Paper:

 

Below are some pages from a sample paper, please note the markings that explain the necessary formatting (margins, where you put your name, course title, assignment, page numbers, spacing, etc.). 

For later reference, I also included some basic comments about MLA parenthetical citations and works cited, since they were already included within this sample paper. We will talk much more about all of this in class, but these pages are here online to serve as a basic visual reference that you can easily refer to whenever you need. 

These pages DO NOT contain all examples of parenthetical citations or works cited, but rather just a few basic types; for a more comprehensive list of MLA citation examples, you MUST utilize your Writer's Resource text to guide you.
